Minibus Travel to/from Camp
There will be 1 x 15-seater minibus travelling from Belfast Church to Banbridge Church and then down to the Scout Campsite on the afternoon of Tuesday 10th August and returning in the afternoon of Wed 18th August. It will not be passing Dublin.
Tuesday 10th August - travel down
Leave Belfast Church 12pm
Leave Banbridge Church 12.50pm
Arrive @ campsite 4.50pm
Wednesday 18th August - return
Leave campsite 12.30pm
Arrive Banbridge 4.30pm
Arrive Belfast 5.20pm

Junior Camp - in tents. You will be asked to share a tent with at least one other person from the Junior Camp.
Senior Camp - in tents. You will be asked to share a tent with at least one other person from the Senior Camp.
How to Get There...
By Car
From Ballymahon...
Take the N55 south towards Athlone. Glassan Village is about 13km south of Ballymahon. Just before you enter
Glassan Village there is a right-hand turn signposted "Portlick 5km". Take this road. (If you go past the Emo
petrol station in Glassan you have gone too far.) GO TO THEN...
From Athlone...
From the Athlone bypass take the Exit for the N55 towards Ballymahon. Travel north along the N55 for about
7km until you reach Glassan Village. Just before you leave Glassan village there is an Emo petrol station on the
left-hand side of the road. Just after the petrol station is a left hand turn signposted "Portlick 5km". Take this
road. GO TO THEN...
After 1.3km turn right, signposted for "Portlick" and "Portlick Bay 3km". After 1km the road (it's actually a lane)
splits in two. Bear left signposted for "Portlick" and "Portlick Bay". After 1.3km turn right signposted for
"Portlick". After 350m turn left signposted for "Portlick" and "Portlick Amenity Area". After 150m turn right.
Follow this lane. The campsite is about 600m down o
Portlick Castle (which you can't see) and then through what looks like a gate
down the lane-way (which may have grass down the centre of the lane!).

By Coach, Bus or Train
If you can make your way to Athlone via coach, bus or train we will be happy to pick you up in Athlone. If you plan to travel this way please let us know so that there is someone there to meet you.
